Gongming Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. is a biotechnological pharmaceutical company which owns innovative biotechnology, specializes in the study and manufacture of anti-virus and anti-cell cirrhosis herbal medicines and it is rapidly expanding on the global market by setting up chain organizations of medical treatment.

The company was established in 1991 and is located at 011. Zhujiang Road, High-tech Development Area, Harbin, China. The company is comprised of all field related professionals dividing into three departments: a 600 square-meter well-equipped research center, a 3200 square-meter GMP standard pharmaceutical factory and an investment and management company. The three departments, together as a platform for the company's future development, have completed the whole industrial chain from research, manufacture to commercialization. This particular structure enables the company to have greater capability when facing challenges.

Dr. Zhenming Sheng, the director and chief pharmaceutist, began his in-depth studies in developing anti-virus herbal medicines in 1985. In 1991, he first discovered a plant liquid “KangDuyuan” to clear away “HBV” and “HCV” virus in the plasma of blood products for industrial uses. This invention could ensure the quality and safety of blood products and it is low cost and easy to use. In the same year, Mr. Sheng Zhenming invented innovative medicines -- “YiGankang Capsule” and “YiGankang Injection” to treat viral hepatitis and hepatocyte fibrosis. This invention made further revolutionary progress in clinical trials at State hospitals. The company soon established a strong study team to support its growing needs for research.

Through constant experimentation during the year of 1991 to 1996, the company’s research team invented herbal medicines to treat AIDS:--“Gongming Anti-HIV Injection” and “Gongming Anti-HIV Capsule”. They also invented herbal medicines to treat nephropathy-- “Gongming DNA Cell Vigor Element Injection” and “Gongming DNA Cell Vigor Element Capsule”. All the herbal medicines have produced remarkable effects in clinical experiments. As the result of research and business expansion, the company settled in a 3200 square-meter new GMP standard pharmaceutical factory and a 600 square-meter central lab at the High-tech development area in Harbin, China.

In 2002, one of the products “YiGankang Capsule” obtained official authorization from the Chinese Food and Drug Administration, and at the same time it was renamed to “Fufang Qicao Capsule”.

In order to guarantee the purity of the products on the market, the company established franchising hospitals. These hospitals sign “Therapy objective contracts” with patients whose blood test results for HBeAg or HBV-DNA shows positive. If HBeAg or HBV-DNA does not turn to negative after treatment, all the medical fees will be refunded.

In March 2004, the first chain hospital was founded in Harbin, China. The medical treatment mode of signing “Therapy objective contracts” with patients and the remarkable effect of the medicine in clinical application are welcomed and supported by patients. It thus proved to be an acceptable and efficient business model. Therefore the company decided to introduce this innovative medicine and the mode of medical treatment to the global market.

At present, there are more than 130 prospective partners who wish to join us, and among them there are two licensed hospitals in Shanghai and one in Guangzhou will be opened in the near future.
